I am sorry. 15 min. is not how long a boat should last you. I recommend that all boats be surveyed and sea tested before purchased. I have had several boat engines die during the survey. As far as other problems, yes a spun bearing will cause metal in the oil. As for who is responsible? I would call whoever sold you the boat.
