how do they sail?

I've been a sailor for many years. But never in a cat boat. I am prolly about to buy a Herman cat boat. Can anyone tell me IF I'll be able to stand sailing it to windward? I've heard they are almost dangerous trying to get up wind, as compared to a sloop. Any othewr good or bad I should be aware of. thanks so much scooter4422@msn.com
