Strangely enough the price difference isn't so great as you might think....an older Marshall still commands 14-16K, Alerions can be had for about 18. The difference I'm looking for is trailerability and ease of sail. As I get older the need for speed gets less (otherwise I'd keep my J-22) and the words easy, comfotable and user friendly get more important. There are a lot of positives from Marshall owners...any Alerion devotees care to comment. By the way, thanks for all your responses.
