Boat Reviews By Owners

1990 -- 24' 9" WELLCRAFT

Model: 250 SPORTSMAN

Cockpit: This boat has a lot of deck space and good visibility from the helm. But if you are over 6'tall, standing when the bimini is up is a little tough. This boat does't have true "w/a" - but only a way to move forward and aft on the sides.

Cabin: Sleeps three for a note - after that I'd go crazy. The cabin is tight but for 25', it does offer alot like vee berth, aft berth, enclosed porta-potti head, ice box, sink with 30 gallon fresh water tank and an alcohol stove.

Construction: Okay construction - not an expensive boat away. But the cabin never leaked.

Handling: A fun cruising boat - but not really so great for offshore fishing. It is what should be called an "all purpose" boat - not designed for any one thing and therefore, best at just knocking around.

Engine Room: The single 200 HP Merc is fine - more economical than twins and will still do 30 mph on flat water.

General Comments: A great family boat for cruising and some fishing and an overnite periodically. If you are going to be inlet running, offshore fishing or some other more demanding boating, keep looking.
