Boat Reviews By Owners

1968 -- 27' 0" OWENS

Model: Concorde

Cockpit: Sleeps 4. Head, sink, Reefer, lots of storage, Cabin enclosed, excellent visibility, good for cruising, fishing, island jumping etc.

Cabin: Cabin is large with full V berth, anchor rope locker fwd, dining area converts to bed, stand up head with sink, toilet W/ holding tank, lots of windows. Dislike nothing about it

Construction: Very well built, solid fiberglass throughout, living area oak paneled, new mahog cabin door, new decking (fiberglassed)easy access to motor (350 Chris Craft FWC) 2 60 gal. tanks, 30 gal fresh water tank

Handling: Motor is mint. Tranny is mint. Prop is wrong.(Dia. & Pitch.) Getting new one. Handles very well but is slow at present. (8-10 kts @2200 rpm) Handles heavy seas very well.

Engine Room: 350KL Chris Craft FWC.Straight inboard. As previously stated, once correct prop is added she will be a good boat. Still not fast but will move along.

General Comments: Love my boat (It's my first) Sleep on her every weekend from May-Oct. Fishing, No. one priority, cruising and just enjoying are the others. Fairly shallow draft so can get in close to shore.
