Boat Reviews By Owners

1989 -- 23' 0" SUNRUNNER

Model: 230 Classic

Cockpit: Cockpit is large and open for this size boat. Fits two chairs and a cooler comfortably, arguably not as comfortable as the newer boats with built in benches, but more versatile

Cabin: Well laid out for this size boat. Every inch is used. storage is reasonable. Head is useable. Alcohol stove is a bit ridiculous to use in this space.

Construction: Overall well. A few hairline cracks in the gelcoat, excpected with the age. Otherwise stand up to abuse.

Handling: Handles pretty well. Planes a bit high at times and trim tabs can give a listing sensation which can be disconcerning until used to it. As seaworthy as any 23' boat.

Engine Room: Volvo Penta Duoprop 5.0L 260 HP Great for cruising, a little slow to get going with more than 4 aboard, but with two pushes just fine.

General Comments: Overall great boat for the size and year. Good for river cruising and lakes. Ok for Open Water situations in the right weather.
