Boat Reviews By Owners

1996 -- 15' 5" SMOKERCRAFT

Model: Resorter SC

Cockpit: Boat is a river and small lake, bay etc fishing boat, has a side sterring console, three seats or chairs, large 18 gallon livewell on port side, carpeted floors, lots of storage under bow platform. Twin rear compartments house 2 batteries and a portable 6 gallon gas tank. There is room to store a second gas tank out of the way under the side steering console.

Cabin: No cabin

Construction: Riveted aluminum semi-v hull with 5 exterior hull strakes. The hull is rated for 1000lbs total capacity and 4 persons or 600lbs. The advertised weight of the hull itself is 520lbs.

Handling: Boat hull handles well even in moderate waves on large lakes when driven responsibly.

Engine Room: Boat has a 40 HP 2 stroke 4 cylinder Mariner Magnum engine running a 2:1 gearcase with a 10 3/8 x 14 pitch aluminum prop, and a Motorguide bow mount electric trolling motor. Boat is very fast for a small fishing boat. The boat is rated for up to a maximum of 50 HP.

General Comments: Its a good little river and lake walleye fishing boat, or comfortable bay boat for two men to fish comfortabley.Thr large live well is capable of holding more fish than you would care to clean.Very easy to trailer and launching off of the Shorelander roller trailer with side guides is a breeze.
