Boat Reviews By Owners

2005 -- 18' 0" SAILFISH

Model: 188CC

Cockpit: center console is large but my console does not have cup holders. Good fishing boat with good visibility at the Helm. Wish the swing cooler seat would lock in position to lean against while riding.

Cabin: center console is large with lots of room for storage

Construction: Overall the boat is made well. The Self bailing does not work very well and had to replace the scupper from a ball to a duck bill that performed better. No help from sailfish here after I called and told of my problem. Yamaha fuel gauge went bad on me but sailfish replaced with new one.

Handling: Boat handles great with 115 4-stroke Yamaha. Can handle chops of 2-3 feet but anything else you will get wet.

Engine Room: 115 4-stroke Yamaha. Just right power ratio to boat size.

General Comments: Use mainly for bay fishing. Would be nicer if bow was foot hight to handle rough seas better. Overall sailfish does make a good quality boat with quality parts.
