2007 -- 21' 6" ROBALO
Cockpit: Being a Center Console, Visibility is Great, plenty of room for Electronics. Best feature I feel is built in 2 steps for foot rest. Wife enjoys taking helm and when sitting back top step is perfect height for Her. Also T-Top (soft top) extends the full width of the beam. when raining water sheds overboard, not in cockpit.
Cabin: Center Console. But nice layout inside . porta potti is on a slide, so when needed just slide out and lock in. saves a lot of space. Cooler and storage are plentiful. Fully finished fiberglass make keeping clean a breeze.
Construction: Very HEAVY boat close to 4100 lbs...Kevlar hull and all stainless thru hull fittings. Being their entry level boat you would expect lower cost EVERY THING ! Every piece of hardware is same used on their larger boats.
Handling: Being on the South Shore of Long Island, seas are very rarely calm. have had smaller boats which on certain days would not go out at all. i ask my fishing buddies with larger boats "How far out would you take her", their reply " As far out as your fuel will take you", 110 gallon fuel tank w/ 225 Honda. They are amazed how well she takes the heavy chop.
Engine Room: 225 Honda 4 stroke, boat has max HP @ 300.....Would like the extra HP being hull is so heavy. 3 guys, 3/4 fuel, ice, other supplies. Tops out at 48 mph. Great cruising speed 28.
General Comments: She is used mostly for fishing, other times we head over to Fire Island for dinner with a few friends. She fish's 4-5 very well, plenty of move around space for a 22 footer.
