Boat Reviews By Owners

2000 -- 18' 6" BAYLINER

Model: 1952 Capri Classic

Cockpit: Cockpit set up is a little cramped, I'm 6'2" and I like to stand when I drive, but with the layout, 2 back to back seats and 2 lift up seats next to the engine compartment, doesn't really facilitate standing while driving. A little cramped when trying to move around as well. But when everyone is sitting and just cruising around not too bad.

Cabin: Cabin is a tight fit, but I have overnighted in it with my wife. I do like the amount of storage up there. Using the porta potty is next to impossible, but in cases of emergency it is possible.

Construction: Construction is great, really well made. I've taken it out into the Chesapeake Bay on some pretty rough days and never had any problems with it. Handels 3-4 ft seas pretty well. Wish it was offered with a larger fuel tank.

Engine Room: Love the motor it came with, Mercury 3.0 liter, cannot complain at all. Runs all day with out drainnig the gas too much. Easy to work on too. Maintain the motor and it'll take care of you out there. Again wish it had more than a 23 gallon fuel tank.

General Comments: This is a great little starter runabout. I use mine for cruising the Chesapeake Bay and fishing out by the tunnels. I really have enjoyed it for the past couple of years and probably for more to come unless I find my "dream boat" really cheap.
