Boat Reviews By Owners

2003 -- 24' 0" CAROLINA SKIFF

Model: sea chaser

Cockpit: Boat is great for fishing. Plenty of room. I would prefer the low rails that are available now. I have had to replace my washdown and live well pumps severals times. The location along with the batteries are under the seat in the back and water leaks through the hatches and causes carrosion.

Cabin:

Construction: I have had very few problems. I do have 1 stress crack in the bow above the water line. Bow lights are constantly burning out due to salt water corrosion. I have placed a second set on the outside of the electronics box that has been fine for years.

Handling: The boat handles better than most more expensive ones. I have had the boat in 5 to 7 foot seas and she handled well for those conditions.

Engine Room: Twin 115 Yamaha 4 strokes. Cruises at 30 mph and burns less than 5 gallons per hour. Top speed of 36 mph. 2600 hours (not a typo) on the engines with very minor problems over the years.

General Comments: I would buy this boat again in a heart beat. For the price you can not find a better riding boat.
