Boat Reviews By Owners

2002 -- 19' 6" SEA CRAFT

Model: Sc 20 Master Angler

Cockpit: The master angler has superior cockpit space forward, with two seats in the rear for secure riding. Cockipit is all one level with superior traction and nothe to catch on or trip over.

Cabin: Copious storage abounds with two coffin box. the large box will hold 4+ 60lbs tunas, and this boat can go the distance and get you home to go get them. It is also insulated , and drains onto the deck in stead of the bilge. I always have extra storage room on this boat, regardless of the amount of gear. Also anchor locker is large enough than and adult could lie down in side it. The livewell is verlarge nad has excellent water flow from the pump, and at slow, or anchored there is an open vent that allows for natural circulation

Construction: Quality is impeccable on this model. Installation of all pieces is over the top. This no doubt the Mercedes of skiffs

Handling: How many boats can you run in 14" of water or run 45 miles offshore in 3' seas, and do both jobs well. Wonderful balance of sportiness with with the best ride you can possibly get at 20 feet. No other 20 footer can touch it in a sea. Big center console capabilities in a small packege.

Engine Room: 150 HP Optimax cruises 27.6 KTS @ 4000Rpm & 37.8 Kts @ 5650 RPM Great power plant . 3.7 NMPG @ cruise. Highly recommend a hydrofoil as a lot of the boats weight is in the back and boat, and will porpoise if you trim it out.

General Comments: If it ant broke don't fix it. This hull hasn't changed since 1968, because it is so good you would screw it up to tweek it. Ergonomics are exceptional, no knuckle busters or snags, easy to maintain surfaces. Helm layout is as easy as a large new convertible. only negative is no cockpit behind the seat, but to change that changes the intention of the boat. I use this boat every day to get to work across 4 miles of open water in all weather conditions. I also fish it offshore for pelagics, and inshore for stalking the marshes and creeks with the two optional trolling trim trim tab motors.
