Boat Reviews By Owners

1969 -- 27' 0" OWENS

Model: Concorde

Cockpit: Biggest 27 footer ever. Cockpit can handle six people fishing or 10 for a party. Flybridge helm has total visibility. Go anywhere boat. Fish primarily inshore but boat is definily made for blue water. Cruise up to 100 miles off shore for tuna.

Cabin: Cabin comfortable for weekends or longer. Have full fibreglass standup head with full shower. Hot water on board in pressure system. Built in 40 gal fibreglass water tank. New layout is my own design. Removed lower station and gained room.

Construction: one of the best built boats on the water. Enough glass to build several of todays fancy guys.

Handling: Hydraulic steering makes handleing a breeze. Has speed up to 45 Knots but doesn't like that kind of speed. Boat lays flat at high end and turning is slow

Engine Room: Newly install Pleasure Craft 350 Vortec engines rated at about 320HP each. Built in new 85gal fuel tanks port and starboard contoured to the hull. Range has increased dramatically. Boat cruises at approx 1 mph for every 100 rpms of engine. Comfortable at 28 knots at about 28oo

General Comments: Love the boat. Fish, cruise and vacation. Virtually live aboard all summer.
