Boat Reviews By Owners

2006 -- 51' 7" SILVERTON

Model: 50 C

Cockpit: The cockpit is quite large at just over 76 sq.ft. Helm visibility is OUTSTANDING both for and aft. THis is a great boat for both fishing and long range cruising

Cabin: the cabin is well apointed and finished in furnature grade cherry wood. 3 state rooms and a pull out sofa. Ultra leather sofa/loveseat and recliner make for great comfort. There is room-a-plenty

Construction: This is a very well built boat. Second to none. Silverton and their dealers stand behind their product and are proud of what the build. This is our 4th Silverton and 3rd brand new.

Handling: Handling?? What's not to say, We crossed the gulf stream and came across 10 footers (6-8 for the remainder of the ride) She handled so well and felt so safe that in the 6 hrs of quartering seas 6-8 footers, 10+ in he gulf stream, we mainained true course and speed of 26 knots. Our top speed has been a consistant 35 knots. Docking is a walk in the park.

Engine Room: She has twin 825 Detroits with twin disc tranny's She runs STRONG

General Comments: We are on our boat most every weekend. We cruise, anchor out overnight in coves, fish, travel the east and west coast of Florida and travel to the Bahama several times a year. We purchased her as a NEW left over in June of 2007 and currently have almost 700 hrs. You tell me??
