Boat Reviews By Owners

2008 -- 19' 8" SEA FOX

Model: 197 CC

Cockpit: Great visability and layout comfortably seats four adults. Seating for 6 if necessary. Good amount of freeboard for style of boat. Tilt wheel is good but I may want to take off the knob (gets caught in my shirt). No torque in steering (SeaStar Hydraulic)

Cabin: no cabin

Construction: Fit and finish is excellent. Sweet looking boat. recommended by friend that had 17 ft. version in Florida

Handling: This boat rides dry. At crusing speed spray is behind center console. Not one drop in boat even in a cross wind! Doesn't pound even with four passengers.

Engine Room: 115 four stroke Suzuki, top speed 42 mph with 13.75 x 21 4 blade. Max rpm 5800 cruises nicely between 4200 and 4800. Boat came with 13.75 x 19 but was under propped. Boat is quick to plane. Could go to 23 pitch if you were always going to have light loads (2 passengers)

General Comments: Cruise Bouge sound and Neuse River. This is my 20th? boat. I have had wellcraft, cobia, trojan. I am very happy with everthing about this boat. Great ride and accomidations for it's size and price range. Sea fox is the way to go if you are going to stay under 21 feet. Larger boats seem to have issues
