Boat Reviews By Owners
1983 -- 38' 9" IRWIN
Model: Center Cockpit
Cockpit: Sleep on either side, can see everthing, Florida Sun Room on a clod day.
Cabin: Two private state rooms with heads.
Queen size beds. Double seetee and full galley with large folde out table for six.
Construction: In 1983 Irwin was not rated that well---but compared to todays paper thin production boats the Irwin is build thick as brick!
Handling: Good gentleman's sail boat --reaches like hell--goes the other ways ok.
I'd take her any where up and down the coast. I dont think she is an open ocean blue water sailor however. Might try Burmuda with a gaurenteed WX forcast.
Engine Room: Perkind 4-108 Powers her just great.
General Comments: Much mis-understood live aboard crusing boat. The Irwin line is very underrated. She's worth her weight in gold!
