Boat Reviews By Owners

2009 -- 18' 5" STINGRAY

Model: 185ls

Cockpit: Cockpit is normal for an 18' boat. The sides are high and well padded so the boat is a bit dryer in rougher water. The bow lets you sit facing forward, which i couldn't do in most other 18' boats.

Cabin: no cabin, bowrider

Construction: Very solid hull- pound on it. Very quiet ride and no pulsating bounce in turns.

Handling: The Stingray name came from the Stingray Corvette. This boat will out handle anything. Try to race against me! i know exactly where the boat will go in a turn- predictable.

Engine Room: Only available with a Volvo 3.0 but it does have power steering. 19P prop is best for out of hole shot and it only gives up 4mph from top speed of 48mph.Dealer bragged about the top speed but i didn't notice until we talked with a lot of other boaters.

General Comments: Great performance. Great quality. Great value. Boat should cost a lot more than it did.
