Boat Reviews By Owners

1977 -- 35' 0" VIKING

Model: 35 Convertible

Cockpit: approximately 120 square feet. The visibility from the bridge both fore and aft is excellent, the boat is perfect for boating and for picnicing or swimming.

Cabin: The cabin is adequate for a weekend or for the day, it could be allright for additional time as long as the owner arranged the interior to his liking.

Construction: The boat is very well built and is an excellant compromise of sea ability and speed. Vikings in this time period used plywood for their bulkheads and they all need to be replaced which can require the removal of the engines etc. If looking at a boat, be sure to check the bulkheads, the stringers and glass are excellant.

Handling: Handles wonderfully, there is a semi v so in rough weather, you need to throttle back.

Engine Room: My boat is powered with twin 454 crusaders which are a great engine for this boat.

General Comments: I use it as the ultimate day boat and drive it from below or from the bridge, the boat is perfect for my use.
