Boat Reviews By Owners

1977 -- 23' 9" Glastron Carlson

Model: CV 23

Cockpit: Cockpit is you basic single seat layout for the driver. Visibility is great and this is like a canoe for fishing.

Cabin: The cabin is small but you can sit on both sides and sleep two.

Construction: I can't complain about the construction at all. I bought this boat new in 1977 and will never part with it.

Handling: This is a Berkeley super jet 12JE and they do wander till you get the hang of it in the no wake zone. Under way it handles like a jungle cat. You can also turn around by the dock in your own length. It's a great thing when the weekend nuts are in the way all around you.

Engine Room: Stock the 460 is good for about 54 MPH. We have added a lot of HP over the years and are up around 65 MPH now.

General Comments: We use it to run up the lake 28 miles to eat supper at the resort. Fishing and swimming would be next. Skiing is a piece of cake for this boat with the place diverter. It also throws an easy 100 yard rooster tail at WOT. Keeps people off your butt very well. My son bought one just like it last year. You can see them on youtube lake raystown cv23
