Boat Reviews By Owners

2009 -- 20' 11" hydrasports

Model: 2000WA

Cockpit: Big cockpit, comparable to most 23' boats with ample space and high gunnels. Large bilge access hatch and good seating. Good for cruising and excellent for fishing. Lots of protection from the elements from high dash and windshield. Quality construction

Cabin: good for 2 people to lay down, tight as all small cabin boats are - but usable. Good storage spaces and very dry. Stays cool in summer, good for family to get out of elements.

Construction: very heavy, well designed boat. Handles a beating with no rattling or flex. Quality built hull designed like a much larger boat and dwarves other boats in its size.

Handling: handles well, likes to be driven with the bow lowered to break through waves, but is very dry and with a closed bow very seaworthy.

Engine Room: etec 200, gives plenty of power and is a great engine - fuel efficient, quiet, easy to maintain and no smoke or any other resemblance to old 2 stroke technology. Wouldn't use a smaller motor and it could use more if you want a high top end. Top speed is in low 40's / high 30's, cruise is around 29.

General Comments: Used primarily for fishing inshore and up to 30+ miles offshore. Great layout for a solo captain or a group of up to 4 people fishing. Great up north where you want to extend the season by having a well protected cabin and dry ride.
