Boat Reviews By Owners

1986 -- 16' 9" Hydrostream

Model: Vamp

Cockpit: Boat has two back to back seats in the cockpit which fold to make a lounger. Open bow has two additional cushions for lounging. Visibility good through the windshield. Best use is water skiing, tubeing, crusing.

Cabin: No Cabin. Boat is not suited for overnight sleeping, etc.

Construction: Construction is poor. The stringers seperated from the hull causing flexing. Boat almost sank as hull flexed water was forced in to hull. Boats were built very light for speed.

Handling: Handles well. Not good in rough water due to very low freeboard.

Engine Room: 140 Mercury in line six cylinder outboad. Engine starts and runs good. Does not have power trim/tilt which is really a must.

General Comments: Cruising.
