Boat Reviews By Owners

2000 -- 26' 5" WORLD CLASS CATAMARAMS

Model: 266sf

Cockpit: Visibility to not very good on the cabin design. The throttle levers are positioned in such a way that it is difficult to be comfortable at the helm.

Cabin: Roomy - but built horribly. Pads that that cover "porto potty" and storage bins are not strong enough to hold an average man.

Construction: Construction? Our boat was used in the keys 2-3X a month - annualy. We are experiencing major structural design flaws. We alomost lost the boat 25 miles offshore!!

Handling: It is true -the "CAT" design does handle well in 3-4 ft. seas - unlike any - leaves all others in the dust. However, in a small chop while slow trolling the boat slams down in the bow - extremely enoying and almost impossible to correct.

Engine Room: Twin 2000 150 hp Merc. Opti Max.. We had 1998 Opti Max and out Whaler before this purchase. They ran horrible. But, seems Merc. may have worked out some of the intial problems in the 2000 models. Overall, great range, efficientcy, few minor warrenty issues.

General Comments: Overall, we are extremely dissatisfied with the World Cat. Coming out of a Whaler - like night and day. From cosmetics - to latches - to Hull durability - no comparision. We are currently experiencing major hull problems and issues with the manufacturer.
