Boat Reviews By Owners
74 -- 18' 0" CRESTLINER
Cockpit: Huge cockpit for a small boat, lots of fishing room, also a very deep boat, waves dont seem like they are going to just come in the boat, a feeling I have had on other boats its size fishing in the mouth of the Delaware Bay.
Cabin: there is a considerable amount of room under the foredeck, but the floor does truncate rapidly. That being said, there is enough room to get "below decks" if the mood to do more than fish should strike.
Construction: When I got the boat, the previous owner apparently loved to drink and drive his boat, and apparently tried to ski jump his car by using the trailer as a ramp. Fortunately, the winch was in the way ... but the large hole in the bow was marine texed by yours truly, zero problems
Handling: Great boat for the bay, and can handle the ocean ... her only flaw is that in a gusty chop she throws water out to the sides, and it can come back in the boat
Engine Room: Single outboard, a 1958 35 HP Johnson Sea Horse ... Traded it for a 57 Evinrude with pressurized tanks, never could find a decent tank, so ... now the water pump is gone and they seem to be made of Unobtainium ...
General Comments: Love it, but it is a bit heavy for the size, I am going to put the StarCraft in the water and put the Crestliner up for grabs
