Boat Reviews By Owners
1978 -- 18' 6" PRIDE
Cockpit: This boat is excellent for both fishing deap sea or picnicing as it has ample seating up front out by the bow with a huge anchor whell as well as full length bunks in the cabin. It also has two rear moulded seats to go with the two pedestal seats overlooking the cab / bow. There's plenty of room for fishing and its a real steady platform because if its width.
Cabin: The cabin is well apointed with a toilet hatch at the front for the family. As well as its sleeping / bunk beds, which are full length.
Construction: Construction is fiberglass. This is a reasonably old boat but has retained a modern look as its actually a member of the carribean hull family. It has a 150 litre underfloor tank, two bait pockets / one on either side of the rear deck. One major advantage is the side walk ways/deck around the sidfes of the boat, which are great as well as the huge door /hatch leading out to the bow area.
Handling: Handeling is excellent, if you want a steadyu rough water boat then its for you. If you want a boat that will sit well in the water, that doesnt slaop around this is the one. Its deep v shape plaining ot to a hartley rear shape gives it every advantage.
Engine Room: I have a hundred and twenty horse power eveinrude on the back which is more than adequate. I would not recomend less than a relatively new 90hp.
General Comments: I fish for snapper , whiting, garfish and in the river Murray. So its versatility makes it a allround winner.
