Boat Reviews By Owners

1983 -- 20' 6" SPORTCRAFT

Model: 200cc(center console)FISHERMAN

Cockpit: visibility is excellent.great fishing boat, good fuel capacity and range(70 gal.)

Cabin: storage under helm in console, two livewells (aereated) keep the bait alive like bob hope.

Construction: extremely well biult. VERY heavy for its size-4000 lbs. stringers are huge, floor and entire hull is solid as a rock! rides like a heavy boat, goes 46.2 wide open on old 79 crossflow johnson 175 v-6, 141/2 by 19 prop

Handling: handles good, crossing another boats wake, it tends to chine walk a little, but you expect that from a modified v hull that has a BONE dry ride.love this boat, went THROUGH a waterspout in it with my son 4th of july weekend in the gulf of mexico.absolutely terrifying, backed her way down to 10 mph,i wouldnt be writing this if this was a light crappy new plastic princess- you can keep your damn foam hulls, old salts know better-weight=stability=SAFETY

Engine Room: outboard powered, water splashes up if you slow down too quickly, but runs awesome on my 1979 johnson 175 (200hp carb jets)these old crossflows were the best for reliability, and 175-235hp were exact same except for reed cages and carb jets.

General Comments: love my boat but after that unescapable summer storm came at us, im trading for a bigger boat with a cabin! bimini top not much for protection from 80 mph hailstones and waves.
