Boat Reviews By Owners

1997 -- 21' 0" SEA RAY

Model: Laguna 210 DC

Cockpit: I'll review the space for different types of activities - Offshore Fishing: 2 people can comfortably fish but with a large cooler it can get cramped mostly due to the port lounge seat. Leisure Boating: Can comfortably seat 6 people as long as there are no additional coolers or items stowed on deck

Cabin: n/a

Construction: Overall great construction. Good access to bilge areas. Wiring access in the gunnels can be tricky. Solid fit and trim. Storage under consoles is adequate and dry. In deck storage is very roomy but can a little damp. Rod storage is adequate for a dual console.

Handling: Very stable in most conditions. Can become a little bumpy in heavy chop with bow trimmed up to stay dry. If getting wet is not a problem, trimming the bow down cuts through the chop reasonably well.

Engine Room: Factory equipped Mercury 200hp Saltwater is very acceptable. Top Speed with two adults, gear and 1/3 tank of fuel (25 gallons) is around 40kts. Max power for this hull is 225hp and would be nice to have but not necessary.

General Comments: This is my first personally owned boat. I purchased it to be a combination offshore fishing/family platform. I'm still trying to find the best way to organize gear for fishing. I will most likely replace the port lounge seat with a single helm seat to create more room aft. I may also consider installing a radar arch or hard-top with rod holders to allow greater flexibilty when fishing.
