Boat Reviews By Owners

1991 -- 20' 2" SPORT CRAFT

Model: 202 WAC

Cockpit: The cockpit is large enough for up to four w/comfort, but best for two. Visibility is good, with good space for electronics. The steering station is nicely set up.

Cabin: The cabin is good for this size boat if you just want to have a place for the porta potti or just get out of the sun and some privacy to change. Not really for large meals.

Construction: This boat is well constructed. The fibergalss is good w/some minor stress cracks in the transom that never became a problem. I like that I can get to the bilge and gas tank.

Handling: The boat handles very well. It is predictable and very fast with the 150 Yamaha that it was purchased with. I use it mostly in the bay, but I have taken it out to the ocean w/out worry. It is stable, and the Modified V is a nice compromise.

Engine Room: The Yamaha precision blend has been a blessed engine. After the Evinrude I began my boating career with, this engine is a work of art and I love it to death!

General Comments: This SportCraft 202 WAC has been a great boat for me. It has a shallow draft and high freeboard. The fiberglass has held up well. If there is one fault, I would say it is the wiring system. I replaced the entire system with continuous runs, but that was after 10 years, which may have been necessary with any boat of this price. It cost $22,000 in 1991.
