Boat Reviews By Owners
1997 -- 20' 4" ANGLER
Cockpit: Visabiliity is good. Vary open architecture make for great fishing. Is designed for the ocean.
Cabin: No cabin, just storage consoles. Would not recommend camping in this boat.
Construction: This boat manufacturer claims to build high quality boats. However, Last year this boat at the age of 6 years old has a rotting transom but no evidence of ever having enough moisture to cause such a problem. Manufacturer is willing to put a new hull on it for around $5,000.00 plus I have to pay to get it down to Florida from Ohio. I believe this to be a factory defect and the price should be considerably better or free since it poses a serious safety issue. I also believe this is not an isolated case and that the factory knows thatr this particular model had this problem. They knew about it before I finished my sentence telling thewm about it. They also drastically changed their design probably because of the problems with this flawed design. If you know anyone who has an Angler and has had a similar problem I would like to speak with them. I would be willing to start a class action law suit. Otherwise, I will wait until it breaks apart ands file a suit against the company. This really should be a recalled item and the company should fix it to avoid liability. Hopefully no one gets injured or loses a life with this but this company has no conscience. Don't trust them.
Handling: Handles pretty well but I feel it is light for an ocean going boat.
Engine Room: Outboard motor. I have a 150 Suzuki 2 stroke. I would've liked a little more horsepower.
General Comments: See above. This company manufacturers a questionable product and is not willing to back it up when the chips are down.
