Boat Reviews By Owners

2002 -- 23' 4" KEY WEST

Model: 2300CC Blue Water

Cockpit: This boat was built strictly for fishing and that is why I bought it. It is well laid out and good for trolling and bottom fishing. Nice wide beam.

Cabin: Cabin is good for storage/port-a-potty

Construction: Good design, average workmanship, some fittings cheap and did not last past second fishing season 140 Gal. gas tank is very nice. Easy to clean and maintain.

Handling: Steering is very responsive and gets raves from my friends who have had other similar style boats Rides very well at 30-34 mph in 2-3 ft long period swell Rides comfortably at 20-22 mph in 2-3 ft chop. Rides comfortably at 18 mph in 3-4 ft chop.

Engine Room: 200 HP 2 stroke EFI Yamaha. Slightly underpowered at 200hp. Minimum should be a 225HP.

General Comments: This boat is comparable to a ProLine in quality and design but $6-7,000 cheaper. You can use that savings to outfit her with top of the line gear. Great fishing boat for 2 - 30 mile out. Not good in 3-4+ foot seas as you will get VERY wet.
