Boat Reviews By Owners

2001 -- 29' 10" MAXUM

Model: 2900 SCR

Cockpit: Cockpit has a good size, visibility is fine. Great for picnic or weekender. Witht eh Radar arch fishing is limited .

Cabin: The boat is advertised to sleep 6...perhaps if 2 are midgets or very small kids. OUr family of 4 fits, aft bunk is very big and has nice headroom. Great dinette galley layout.

Construction: constructions seems fine, took it to the Bahamas form Stewart FL, no structural issues

Handling: IN smooth or calm seas is is fine, anything more than a light chop and it pitches up and down (porpusing) undersirably even with the drives full down, and the tabs full down.

Engine Room: twin 4.3 MerCruisers with Bravo 2 drives 190 hp each. Engines burn 18 gph at cruise of about 38-30 mph..top speed acheived in smooth water was 42 MPH

General Comments: WE have owned this baot for 1 year, and are trying to resolve the porposing issues with Maxum. WE trailer the beast. We enjoy the boat a lot, and put about 120 engine hours a year on it. Feel free to drop an email to me for more info.
