Boat Reviews By Owners
1987 -- 22' 0" HINTERHOELLER
Model: Nonsuch 22
Cockpit: The cockpit includes pedestal steering, w/ table and cushions. The cockpit is deep, - so there is no need to worry about the kids spilling out of the boat on a tack, and the visiblity and comfort are good. There is plenty of room for four - six adults to enjoy an afternoon sail.
Cabin: With six foot headroom in the cabin, enclosed head, very large ice box and a queen sized v-berth, the design is amazing! A great boat for those who want to down-size, yet still desire the creature comforts of a larger boat. Very cozy.
Construction: Very well built. Nice fit and finish. Very solid. Lots of storage. She still looks "fresh" after all these years.
Handling: She sails like a Nonsuch, 'nough said.
I have been off shore in 6-9 foot seas and she handled well, far better that I did! She sails well in light air, too.
Engine Room: Westerbeke 12 HP Diesel(new in 2002)pushes quite well even in rough seas.
General Comments: I am enjoying this little boat! It has a very spacious and user friendly cockpit - even compared to boats that are several feet longer. Only fifty or so of theses hulls very made, so good luck in finding yours!
