Boat Reviews By Owners

2003 -- 17' 2" POLAR

Model: 17CC

Cockpit: For a 17' has lots of space and features. Lots of storage room for a 17' boat.

Construction: Solid, I would go out offshore any day on this one. Very stable. Heavier than other boats in it's class.

Handling: Handles like a bigger boat, dry and solid.

Engine Room: I had a Yamaha 90hp 2 stroke installed just because I did not want the extra weight of a 4 stroke. With the 90hp 2 stroke goes up 40mph. With the 90hp it is a bit slow out of the hole, maybe a 115 would do better but I do not need the extra weight.

General Comments: I think I got the perfect boat for me. It's small to keep at the house and big enough to go offshore. I se it for family fishing in Charlotte bay and the gulf. I will take her down to the Florida keys for some serious fishing and fun. The boat is small enough to go out on the lake too. What I like the most is that I was looking for a boat that made me feel safe to take the kids. This one was the only one that I could find that had the feature and the safety that I was looking for.
