Boat Reviews By Owners

2004 -- 17' 5" CAROLINA SKIFF

Model: 175 RG

Cockpit: Cockpit is basic, not a lot of options on it. Grab rail is a little shakky at times but is generally good. Window is good.

Cabin: the anchor storage isnt very well planned. Could use some more room.

Construction: Solid boat, quick and nimble. The boat needs steel cleats to tie off on instead of the plastic ones. And the cleats need to either be relocated or need a taller hand rail.

Handling: Handles well. Runs shallow but stands tall when running. Is good in heavy chop and handles well offshore. Hydraulic steering is perfect.

Engine Room: We run a honda bf90. Gets about 3 to 5 gph, giving it a range of about 100 miles. Plenty for this little fishing boat.

General Comments: Good sturdy boat for the price. Very economical boat and a great one for beginner boaters. Low maintenence tons of fun.
