Boat Reviews By Owners
1988 -- 19' 6" AQUA SPORT
Cockpit: Visibility is good. Great for fishing in Bay and close to shore. I use it mostly for non-fishing day trips.
Cabin: No cabin, my center consol has a bait-well that I use as a cooler. Storage is fine for this size boat.
Construction: Holding up well for a 16 year old boat. The transom has been reaipred twice but it may be because I have a Yahama 150 Hp outboard. I have a feeling it's to much motor for the boat. The floor has two soft spots but they have not gotten worse in the 6 1/2 years I've had it. The wireing to the front running lights was severed and there is no easy way to run new wire from the center consol to the nose. However, I was able to do it after rigging a srtinger.
Handling: Runs good for what is was designed for. gets a little bumpy and web as expected on a windy choppy day.
Engine Room: Yahama 1988 150 Outboard. This engine run great. I have no problems with it. The shifshaft was replaced long ago as it had a factory defect.
General Comments: I use my boat for day trips in the bay, close to shore diving and general running around. I have taken in 20 miles off shore in smooth days and used it in heavy chop in the bay. im happy with the boat.
