Boat Reviews By Owners

2002 -- 18' 6" TRIUMPH

Model: 190 BAY

Cockpit: ENOUGH ROOM FOR 2 TO FISH COMFORTABLY.LOTS OF STORAGE AREA. GOOD LAYOUT

Cabin:

Construction: TRIUMPH BOATS ARE THE TOUGHEST BOATS BUILT. BUMP DOCKS, ROCKS, STUMPS WITH NO BOAT DAMAGE. NO WAXING CLEANS UP GREAT. MY BOAT DOES TAKE ON WATER THROUGH THE SIDE DRAINS. THE 2004 MODEL HAS THE DRAINS OUT THE REAR OF THE BOAT AND SHOULD BE BETTER.

Handling: HANDLES GREAT. I HAVE HAD THIS BOAT 15 MILES OFF SHORE ON A CALM DAY. SHE HANDLES ROUGH WATER OK BUT I HAVE HAD SWELLS COME OVER THE BOW. THE BOAT RIDES VERY GOOD EVEN IN CHOPPY WATER.

Engine Room: YAMAHA 115 4 STROKE IS GREAT. STARTS ALMOST INSTANTLY, RUNS VERY QUIET, VERY FUEL EFFICIENT. THE MOTOR IS SO QUIET YOU MIGHT FORGET TO TURN IT OFF.

General Comments: I USE THE BOAT FOR FISHING IN THE OCEAN AND SOUND AROUND NORTH CAROLINA IN THE SUMMER. IN THE WINTER I PUT THE TROLLING MOTOR ON AND FISH THE LAKES FOR CRAPPIE.
