2004 -- 17' 0" SEA PRO
Cockpit: 6'10" beam. It gets too crowded with more than 2 people fishing. Ample storage for one day fishing trips, but you could always use more. 2 captain chairs standard instead of cooler/flip seat. The cooler seat is an option and would give more storage space.
Construction: Overall good constrution. No cracks or spiderwebs on hull as of yet. Stainless fittings, through hulls, and rails. Anchor box could use locks or tie downs to keep the anchor from flying around in the box on rough days (chips and cracks from that). The battery is a pain in the a$$ to get out/in of the small bilge access cover.
Handling: Only a 12 degree deadrise so she tends to ride rough on choppy days, but not as bad to be expected. 3 footers expect to get wet if into the wind. The carolina bow flare looks good and cuts down on the spray.
Engine Room: 2004 90HP 2 stoke Johnson with 137/8-17P stainless prop. Good motor with no problems. Seems to be a little heavy for the boat. The Evenrude E-tec and Yamaha is lighter. She will run 45MPH (GPS) with one person. She tends to poirpose a good bit above 40 MPH (needs trim tabs). She cruises great at 30 MPH sipping fuel. Planes out and accelerates very quickly.
General Comments: I use her for fishing in the bay and the shallow creeks. Overall it's a great boat for inshore/bay/flats fishing. You can take her offshore on a good day, but I rarely do. Only problems with her are listed above.
