Boat Reviews By Owners
2004 -- 21' 0" SEAFOX
Model: 21 CC
Cockpit: This is the 21'cc not the 21'7. The 21' CC has the walk through transom with live well and bait/fish box behind the leaning post. Although this set up takes up approx 24" inboard deck space away, it provides a great, dry, and elevated fishing platform when anchored or trolling. The aft deck because of this is good for two fisherman at a time(but how many do you plan to have on a 21cc anyway??) The 8'6" beam provides plenty of room even with the great combing pads which are a must. I hear complaints about the location of the throttle. I have no problems with location and visibilty is great, and gauges and switches placed close. This console if virtually a box which creates a great place for the GPS and fishfinder. Some other boats they are installed so far away you have to lean over the wheel to read them.
Cabin: 21CC console is big with easy access. Head is well, a CC head. Usable but not the reason to buy or not buy. Plenty of storage and much better than a lift up head door.
Construction: So far so good. Fit and finish and excessive adhesives are easily cleaned up. So far even pounding the boat, no
stress cracks noted. The bow pulpit is fantastic for anchoring and storage.
Handling: This boat came with trim tabs. The bow is a brute and it better bow down. Trim tabs are critical however must have tab switches with indicators to know where the tabs are. With correct trim, this boat moves smoothly.
Engine Room: 2005 Merc 150 2 stroke. No issues to date. As stated, when trimmed with engine and tabs, have had this moving at 44.
General Comments: This is a practical fishing boat and comfortable cruising around boat, but forget 7 passengers on the 21CC. It is a 4-5 passenger boat when fishing is the plan. Have had it out in 6 to 8 seas and she has been sharp and true.
Hey, for 25k you get a great deal. If you are looking for looking rich, go buy a Whaler or Grady.
