Boat Reviews By Owners

2002 -- 17' 0" TRIUMPH

Model: 17cc

Cockpit: Cockpit is a little small, but enough room for a fishfinder, gps and radio (if you plan it out forst, There is a lighted compass right in the middle, so a close electronic will of course stray from a true reading. Visibility is very goos even with a bimini top. Walking around the CC is tight on both sides, but possible. With two or more guys, or people, the boat leans to the heavier side, so spread everyone around and it will be good.

Cabin: Moderate dry storage under the CC, but be careful with loose wires, Zip tie them out of the way and it works great.

Construction: Roplene construction so the boat will take a massive beating. I have definately slammed into docks and it just bends and gives way. Unsinkable, and VERY VERY easy cleanup.

Handling: Boat tends to be lose in the back at high speed turns, but at moderate speeds it handles well. It is light, so waves will give you a pounding, but on a calm day, it's a great boat.

Engine Room: I have a Yamaha 70, but can use mroe power. Gets an average skier out of the water at a good clip, but does lack a bit. A 90 would be great.

General Comments: Live bait well is in the front, but is leaks water out of the top when under way and sprays the back. Works great though. The seat is the cooler with a forward and back folding back support. Two fish boxes up front, but very weak to holding ice. Stow away lights get out of the way. Overall I'll give it a 8 out of 10
